With February 10th 2011 as the departure date, now is the time to decide to sign up for an adventure that takes you to an archipelago where dramatic volcanic landscapes, richly inhabited seas and an ancient culture provide the basis for an original and engaging event. 18 days where you can enjoy the best of the Canarian vernal climate and forget that back home winter reigns. Our path takes in culture, gastronomy, folklore and carnival, where we visit the highest mountain in Spain, enjoy dinner roasted over a volcano, follow forest trails through verdant Laurisilva, and get involved in one of the world’s most exciting street parties. And this is just a tiny part of it. Sailing family Johan and Christine Salen, whose intimate love of the sea and warm affection for Lanzarote bring them back regularly to the islands, will be joining the rally and talking beforehand of some of their extraordinary experiences travelling the world’s oceans and the valuable lessons learned along the way, all which have helped prepare them for their next big cruising adventure.
