With the amount of coalition warships around, any pirate would be insane to try anything. On to Bab el Mandeb; gateway to the Red Sea where we found a dessert haze, in between Djibouti and Yemen, with screaming winds, flying along with only the storm jib. Up up, north off the coast of Saudi Arabia, until last night we turned westbound, making landfall in Sawakin, an old slavers town in decay, where the men in chains used to be shipped from to the Ottoman empire. We were superbly received by Mohammed, the best agent we ever had, who refueled and checked us in within hours. In the town, the people are modest, kind and surprised to see visitors. The Mediterranean is only 800 Miles away now, though it is an upwind beat. Monday we set sail...
